In EFI Live how do you make the Hp Calculator work??

Here is one from my duramax. I have 14,000lbs in their because I had truck and trailer on.

The only reference to horsepower I've found in the manual says this
The Scan Tool needs to know at least the first 4 characters of the vehicle’s VIN so that it can load the
appropriate set of enhanced PIDs. Because no connection has yet been made to the vehicle, you should
supply the VIN or select the platform that best matches your vehicle.
When you make a connection to a vehicle, that vehicle’s VIN will replace the Operating system and VIN
that you may have selected. The Scan Tool will remember the last used Operating system and VIN and
will use them the next time it is started.
To properly configure the transmission PIDs, the Scan Tool also needs to know if the vehicle has an
automatic or manual transmission, select Automatic or Manual as appropriate.
EFILive uses the engine displacement and vehicle weight when evaluating calculated PIDs such as
{CALC.POWER_RW} “Rear Wheel Horsepower”. Those PIDs will only be as accurate as the information
entered here.

Looks like it. I went in and checked the log file and the weight looks right at 3554lbs.
I haven't played with the HP thing too much as I'm really more concerned with learning how to analyze how my motor is running first and hopefully reproduce the idle issue I had.
I had fun creating a custom dashpage today
A made a column of gauges on the right with charts occupying the rest of the page. I've also set alarms for speed and inj duty cycle. I also had fun with the bidirectional controls, but only at idle.
Not bad for my first 24 hours of EFI Live.

Well, all my log file info looks correct. Under what testing conditions should I expect max HP? I think I had a WOT 3rd gear run on my log which shows me a max of 114HP.

check to make sure your are reading hp and not kw not sure what it would be. can you post up your log, and i will check it from my end to see if it gives a different result

it is the same on mine but part of your problem may be you have 62 pids selected i believe that efi live recomends to only log/select 20 channels or less. some pids have more channels then others so keep an eye on the number of channels. selecting to many doesn't allow for the data to be logged in real time because there is to much data so it skips some to compensate. it likely skiped the wot hp data for some thing else. select only 10-15 pids and try again, you should see a difference. let us know if it works.

that seems to be it. i am watching the log and your speed goes from like 28 then to 42 in one frame so there is defenitly some missing data. i aslo noticed your getting some misfire on 4 pistons, i've never logged those myself but i would think it shouldn't be there. have you checked your spark plugs?

You may be on to it. I have a log with 23 channels on and I came up with 255hp. The slow refresh may be missing data? It wasn't much of a run though and 255hp for what I was doing may be reasonable? I also had a peak injector DC if 88%...which is not good when you consider my altitude. I run down at sea level would likely find me out of injector capacity.
No I need to know how to correct for altitude so I can get an idea of what my SAE Corrected HP might be? I'm at 4,780ft ASL. I can log barometric with the engine off to get an ambient atmospheric reading.
Dashpages are fun, but sure bury time. I'm making a hybrid with charts in the middle and gauges on the sides.
What PIDs do you guys turn on for basic tune/perf scanning?
