Default Is there a aftermarket maf for LS1's for boost?

Anyone know of a aftermarket maf for our cars that would not peg the MAF when you go boost? Is our only option the FAST System to go speed density..? I was told I would not be able to go from like 8psi to 14 psi w/out reprogramming because of the limitations of our stock pcm and our MAF.. The last thing I want is to run around with 4 to 5 LS1 edit tunes. I want to be able to boost on the fly..

Once you tune it you'll be fine as long as you don't change the boost amount or outside conditions much. Reprogramming is strongly reccomended for any FI, not just because the maf runs out. I think Harlan get some special one-off maf from Pro-M that outputs the same freq range as the stock maf, but xxxxxHz accounts for more air than a stock meter. The maf isn't the limit, it's the pcm.

stock maf is good for around 500rwhp in your car. after that you just have to adjust more fuel in for wot manually, no biggie.

i would sure like to try a newer pcm in my car..

Try Greg from Detroit Speed Works for more info on that custom MAF. I recall it being pricey.
