Default The car is acting crazy. Can you guys help?

Here's the issue

I put on some long tubes and obviously didn't get the O2 wires far enough out of the way. They melted together and blew a fuse. I got the car home, fixed the O2 wires, but now it wants to idle at 4000, even with the TB completely shut. I unplugged the IAC and that didnt' fix it. I unplugged the IAC and the TPS and everything seemed to be fine for a day or 2, but now it's doing it again.

Pulled the codes, and the only one that seemed fishy is MAF low volts. I swapped the MAF with a known working one (as with the TPS and IAC, all in different combonations), still no luck.

Any ideas?

Also, FYI, this is engine has been swapped into a 93 RX7. Some of the power wires have been combined. For example, GM used 2 15a circuits, 1 for each set of coil packs. I used 1 30a service with both sets.

Have you tried replacing the O2's? Get the ones for a vette (rear O2's). The wires are real long. I think I used the Bosch 1133's. I am not running any O2's anymore except for the WB.

Thanks, I know about the vette o2s, I was thinking the same. I'll check that and update.

My '99 Trans Am is doing the exact same thing after I burned one of the O2 sensor wires on the header. I got a P0121 code so replaced the TPS, it worked for a week. After that I retorqued the wire harness connections at the PCM, that worked for nearly a month, then it all of a sudden went back to idling at 4,000+ rpm. Recently I changed the maf sensor and still no change. Did you fix your problem N21923, or does anyone know what's going on?

It turns out one of the O2 sensor harnesses had melted together. When rewired, it fixed the high idle.

OK, I'll go out and try to rewire that o2 sensor. Thanks for the reply.
