6-speed C5-- idles at 850, will idle at 800, but why? Any cam with a lot of overlap throws a good bit of fuel (i.e high emissions) out the exhaust when idling. The lower the idle speed, the excessive the emissions. The car has catalytic converters and they don't like raw fuel.

I Don't expect alot for I only have street tires on it. And anything below 25mph it just smokes tires.
