Re: Why is my car so slow??
With an F-body A4's idle load, he'll never see
750Hz. I think the issue is more in the bogus
calibration of the '98-'00 SLP MAF. He's surely
not dropping off the bottom of the frequency
table after the 60-ft mark, and his losses come
in someplace down-track from there.
I agree that this MAF frequency thing could be
a problem for ETC 'Vettes but my observation is
that automatic F-bodies are nowhere near that
low an airflow anywhere in the driving envelope.
Dunno about the 6-speeds, but this guy isn't one.
My car idles at 2700Hz MAF frequency, there's no
way he's half of that with an automatic. Maybe
less, with a higher-stall converter, but not
-that- much less.

But, he should still give the stock MAF another
chance (with learn time) before chasing anything
else.

Re: Why is my car so slow??
Those dyno numbers were with the KR at 3.50 and I put the stock MAF on about 2 hours before I went and had my car dynoed, so it didnt have any relearn time. I took it to Raging Motorsports and he told me to retarded the timing a bit and know the knock retard only read .5 at WOT, much lower than the 3.50 I was getting before. I haven't had a chance to mess with it anymore but I will tomorrow. Should I put in the 160* tstat that came with the predator??
