Not sure if I am blind, or stupid, but I cannot find anywhere in my HPTuners program that says Commanded A/F ratio.

I was just attempting to follow along to try and learn some more about the software, but I don't see what you all are talking about.

U have to take the tables and divide the numbers by 14.7. Best thing to do is read the little captions at the bottom about what they do when you hover your mouse over the tabs.

or hit f1 (help)

the pe multpulier is devided into the "stoic afr value" (14.6xxx) to determine the commanded afr

unless you changed it your stock should apporx 14.7

.....wow im starting to sound smart!

The only place I saw mention of commanded AFR is in the open loop EQ ratio tab

2 things I have always wondered about..

1) How do you safely tune the area of the ve that used for wot while being in sd? I assume they need to be on at 14.7 so that when you pe value divides it its works out right. But you cant very well run 14.7 at wot..

2.) Again how can you sefely the maf in the upper values while having everything disabled?

I have been able to tune part throttle with no problem and get everything close to 0 but at wot my commanded afr is always like 10-11 while its actually running 13.0..

Just make your PE marginally on the rich side and tune your ve/maf to the commanded afr. Then change your commanded afr to a desired afr through pe and your afr should be dead on with your pe if you tuned it correctly.

Yes and make sure you turn closed loop off through the editor and keep your MAF failed but just turn off the SES light.

I ran my motor (WOT and all) for about 10 minutes on my first VE tuning attempt a wee bit lean... like 16's and 17's... hope I didn't harm anything. After two drives last night however, its almost dead nuts on commanded vs actual.

There is no reason for it unless you just like uploading a bunch of tunes for everywhere you go. A GOOD maf tune will be more efficient and have the same power, throttle response, etc. as a SD tune will.

I Think I Got It.. Did It Twice Now It Seems My Commanded Afr And Actual Are The Same

Did Have To Find Some Nice Streches Of Road As It Wasnt Too Easy To Get 50+ Hits Of Those Higher Maf Frequencies

Basically Had To Do 30-140mph Runs Up And Down The Highway And Still There Was A Few Cells In The End That I Couldent Hit (believe Me I Tried) But You Can Pretty Much Get The Point And Draw Your Own Curve

The Only Thing I Can Add To All This Is To Make Sure You Look At Your Maf Curve In The Plotted View And Smooth It Back Out As Unless You Have Shitloads Of Data It Will Look A Little Lumpy At First
