Default 98 Camaro Ls1 Relay clicking every 10 min after it sits?

After my car sits for maybe 10 minuites it clicks a relay and continues to click this relay every 10 minuites. Its seems to have something to do with the electrical system for the interior lights because I have my radar detector wired in to the map light circuit (hot all the time) and when that relay clicks it turns the radar detector off and on. What the heck could that be? Seems like it wears down the battery after a week or 2. Very confuzed

THANKS!!!

Default

Since you have it hardwired into your map light circuit the BCM is seeing that you have something on and requesting power. So, after the 10 minute delay it is resetting itself to give power.

Hardwire it into the cig lighter circuit and you should be good to go.
