Anyone ever open their LS1 Edit cable up? jumpers?

One possible use for the jumpers may be for an easy way for Carputing to update the firmware onboard the microcontroller. It would also make it convenient for them to reset cables and load in a black security set.
just an idea.
no way it unlocks an unlimited cable though.
