Do I need a tune?
Do I need a tune? I have a M6 00' Trans Am with just about full bolt ons. After I put the LS6 intake on my idle is now high around 1500 and when I get off the gas I will backfire somewhat every now and then. I had Harris Speed Works do a dyno tune just before the intake when I put my full exhaust on. Does this mean I need another tune. Where can I get it done cheap cause I want to put a Head/Cam package on this winter and I will have to have it done again. I live between Harrisburg and Lancaster, Pa.
You have an air leak. If you find that it will fix most of your trouble. Do you have a bung for a wide band? If you do and want to stop by I will tune PE for cheep. I live 75 miles from you. right where Maryland gets small. Handcock.
are all of your air hoses and such connect back properly? check everything that you would have taken off (all hoses) to do the intake

My pulley seems to squeak from all the rust on it. I need to paint it. Otherwise nothing seems wrong. My check engine light isn't on. It just happens when I get off the gas from mid to high RPM's. All my AIR and EGR codes have been deleted and I removed all the hardware. Anything else?

To check for air leaks, you can get a can of starter fluid and spray around all seams and hoses with the engine running. The engine will change tone when you find the leak.
As YT pointed out, it could be that your TPS sensor is not zero'd. I don't remember the procedure off the top of my head, but if you search for "reset TPS" you should find it fairly quick. You can do this without a scan tool, but you will need a scan tool to verify the effectiveness.
