hptuners reading low cyl airmass?
i have a 98 TA, boltons and a 232/234 595/598 113lsa cam. my stock scans are somewhere in the 7g/cyl range on my timing tables. However, scans after the cam are reading more like 3g/cyl, but its still delivering WOT style spark (mid 20 degrees or so, where the true 3g/cyl timing is in the high 30s). what could cause this? just a bad sensor? is the 3g/cyl normal for a higher overlap cam? is my compression gone (rings or something?)
even with this cylinder airmass the car made 385rwhp and 370rwtq on a mustang dyno so im assuming everything is in good condition, and it only threw normal codes (MAF fail (running SD right now) and rear O2's).
I am at work right now, but I can upload scans if any of you are familiar with those later.

ok, so it looks like this is a common problem, but could u help me understand it a little more?
my main spark advance histo reads around 3 g/cyl but delivers timing as if it were in the 7-8 range. a buddy of mine who posts on here (rodneypeirce) was still getting 9g/cyl in his readings. is the problem not universal? he is SD as well.
