How Much Am I Leaving On The Table?!?
Well I finally got my wideband hooked up and found out when we tuned the damn thing the portable wideband must not have been in the exhaust stream right. Now going out and running wideopen throttle I am only at 10.9 to 11.2 in AFR. My question is what everyone thinks I am loosing for power being this fat? What's a real good AFR to be at, 12.8?? Traver

Is this a track only car? Are you spraying? I'd say that you may be losing power through the entire curve, depending............Are you running race gas 100 octane or more? How fast (high) do you spin the engine? Need to know before commenting on the A/F ratio. With that compression & air/flow, I' be careful with A/F ratio & timing. Where is the timing during WOT?

Didn't say you were hurting anything running that fat. More detail was needed, that's all. I'd agree that 12.8:1 is good & starting by 3600-4000 RPM & 70 KPa, MAP.

Are you running a maf yet Waterbug? Mines pulling timing when it gets warm at about 4300 RPM. It goes from 28 degrees and pulls it back to 13 and then right back in it again. The guy thats going to tune it wants me to think about running a SD tune and eliminating the Maf all together and I'm not totally sold on that one yet. I have to get this tune fixed before I wreck something and then we can all go out and play!! Traver

So, your saying its pulling (28-13 = 15) 15* of timing. Is this confirmed data logging on the street, or was this on the chassis or the engine dyno?
I dont see how eliminating the MAF will get rid of 15* of timing being pulled. Maybe swap it out with another one, and see if the problem goes away???

No, goes from 28 to 13 and back to 28 and it is confirmed by my scan tool while out driving on the street. And I'm not saying that we are wanting to eliminate the maf for the timing problem. It would be to get rid of some of my drivability issues. You have to remember I have a great BIG cam in this thing. This thing is bigger than most would ever even imagine trying in a A4 car!

It's definatly not knock............no knock sensors on anyways. I was going to run some 110 but didn't want to ruin my new o2's. It has to be temperature related since it never did it on the dyno. It is pretty weird but if you know the whole issues I've had with this car you'd swear it was Christine like I do!

If it's temp related, check your IAT & ECT tables. Maybe they're set to pull a lot of timing. A slight increase to your learned knock sensor software values may help as well.

sounds like an auto trans car and tq mngmnt, KR can only remove about 4 deg while in PE
I don't see your tune posted though or I'd look

Sorry but I don't have the tuning software or file. It's at the tuners. Also I'm running zero knock sensors at the moment. I really think it's temprature related since the other day it wouldn't do it untill I started flogging on it. It started to get heat soaked and that is when I believe it pulled timing again. Who knows though it still might be some kind've torque management? I looked through every torque related file and they are all zeroed out so I'm at a lost?! Traver

It's up to you to decide how your money is best spent - so do your research
I'm particular to EFILive as they have many features unique to the industry (i.e. V2, Serial WB integration, Road Runner real time tuning, RTACS [automatic real time tuning], straight forward pricing/licensing, customer support, etc...). The "test drive" link in my sig will take you to their download page where you can download and demo the software. There's a lot of other good stuff there too.
