I voted LM-1 because you can get some good deals on them.
I have a LM-2 and it locks up on me when I use the OBDII but it is fine without.
They need to iron out some issues with it and it will be a great tool to have.

So far I love my NGK AFX. I have it hardwired and the display mounted on my steering colomn. It seems to work very well, especially for the price.

afx here as well, hasn't done me wrong and having the choice to be able to run a NGK plug makes it a real nice product.

I personally don't want a A/F gauge in my car all the time....

Does the AFX have a cigarette lighter plug for power like the LM-1?

Thanks

If it only requires a typical 12 volt power/ground then I can solder a plug on from Radio Shack....

Has anyone had luck doing this with the AFX with no issue?

I've installed a LC-1 and I know how finicky they are about grounding....

Thanks

According to the manual as long as the voltage stays within range and the amperage is sufficient, that's all it needs....

Cool...

Looks like I can solder on a Radio Shack cigarette lighter plug and use the outlet that's always hot...

Thanks Frost

The one thing I don't like about the FAST one I hvae is that you hvae to "turn it on" every time you get in the car. I'd rather it just automatically turn itself on so I dont have to press buttons and worry about it every time I go for a drive.

Anyone have experience with the FJO wideband. http://www.fjoracing.com/products/WBAFR/ This is the one I was wanting to get. It is compatable with both sensors as well.

I chose innovate due to the fact of tons of people myself included use them every day with no issues and they always get the job done. If a sensor gets toasted, i just go to napa and get a replacement for cheap and im back on the road.

Another thing that has impressed me about them is if there is ever any kind of hardware issue, i have never heard of them not taking care of their customers and sending them a different unit to replace thiers. I had a lm1 that i used almost every day for 2 years and it died, so i sent it in to pay to get it fixed and they just sent me a whole different one and didnt charge me to fix it.. That was pretty nice of them.

I just have to add my opinion. My brother has the innovate LM-1, and it has done nothing but given us problems since day 1.

What kind of deal does NAPA have on their Bosch/VW-style WB sensors?

I have an LM-1 and it has always worked excellently. I have 3 LC1s that make me want to scream though, and have had many customers with similar results.

the LC-1 was a little bit to figure out the hookup and custom PID for HPT (you need one) but it's worked fine for 2 1/2 years after they replaced the first one which wasn't as "hardened" in the analog outputs. in all of this thread i haven't seen any real reference to testing. just because a unit is simple or reliable doesn't mean it works well. the only documentation i've seen was from the Ford mag testing against most of the ones mentioned here and that showed the LM-1 from Innovate was the fastest and most accurate. that was good enough for me.
