I've always liked my LC-1, but lots of people seem to have problems getting them wired correctly (they are very sensitive to grounding issues). It also uses a Bosch LSU4.2 sensor, and some people seem to favor the NTK sensors.
I haven't blown my car up yet, so for now, the LC-1 is my choice since I leave it permanently installed, and it is compact.

For a simple gauge, the AEM unit is nice, I have one in my car, and it just works fine. Seems to match the AFM1000, A100, and AFX (w/ NTK sensor) that I have compared it to.
I do not like the LC1/XD1 combo, I had lots of issues getting it to work in my car. I also like the dynojet setup, but it is much bulkier, and you need room to store the brain box. (but for cars with less datalogging options, they have some great features that can be used)

I just ordered the Fast dual wideband setup for tuning my carb setup. I wanted to be able to monitor both cylinder banks to help diagnose problems and such as well as jet/tune my carburetor. It has its own built in data logger you can view with it dont need a laptop and it also has an rpm module you can hook into it and data log with that.
