Locked PCM? My tuner told me that the PCM is locked and he cannot tune the car past minor things like a few degrees of timing and a few points of AF ratio.
He said that the previous owner or tuner locked it for some reason. He uses EFIlive to tune. Can it be unlocked??

yeah... like the others said.. if it's indeed locked, then he would not be able to do ANYTHING...
so, if he IS able to adjust the timing, or do ANYTHING at all, then your PCM is NOT locked...

There are other options, pull pcm, unsolder flash chip, read file, resolder flash chip back to board, find
seed/key, use efilive to unlock pcm, and then tune
But the above options are much easier
