Yeah, my grandpa has a few 455's but I think they are Olds.

But yeah, would be a sleeper for sure. A twin turbo 455 is no where in my budget though..

Also did the Fbomb reach it's goals as a daily driver?

It looks in pretty good shape for 2500. I had a '80 Indy Pace car took that 301 out a used it as a boat anchor...haha.....they are JUNK!

I swapped in a Pontiac 400 from a '68 GTO with a nice set of heads, cam, headers, Holley DP, etc....it was nice shouldnt of sold it

Andy yes they are right no engine parts from the 301 will bolt up its a "fake" Pontiac motor as said above short deck.

Swap in a 400 or 455 but for the love of god keep it Pontiac!
LSx's came in ponchos

It really sucks since I had my heart set on this car, but there is another one out there, 78', but it doesn't have the T-Tops, but it is in just as good or better condition for $2500.

Man this sucks ...

Thanks for the comment. Yes, that does suck. Hope you still get to buy it. The '78 is still a rockin' deal and don't get too upset about no t-tops. These years are bad about leaking and rust in the area unless they were taken care of over the years. Get'em while they're still resonably priced! Good luck and post your progress.

obvious points, it doesnt look like a trans am. no shaker, or fender flares. not that it matters if youre going to mess with it anyway. probably better to find a firebird or formula thats not orginal, and make it into what you want. even though its primer, from what i can see in the pics, the body looks fairly solid.

That one obviously is starting out with a better motor poncho 400, throw some headers on it, a good set of heads, cam and ditch that edelbrock for a holley DP.

Just found this today. Guys said he has alot of interested people but no one has come to look. Said that if it doesn't sell soon, he could dip down to $2500. Has a pontiac 400 in it now and two spare 301T's go with it along with some other parts. One is the original engine.

It is also a real SE car and has been sitting 5 years.

Tell me what you think guys. Looks solid and already has a 400 poncho in it, will save me alot of time and money since I wanted to put in a 400/455 anyways.

Not holding my breathe on it though.. Going to look at it Saturday along with the 78 Firebird, will bring back alot of pics!

Rims are Weld Racing VR25's. They don't make those anymore but, sizes are front-9.5x17" P275-40-17 rear 11x17" P315-35-17. All back spacing is 5". That is the MAXIMUM widths without getting into clearance problems. Everything is untouched for fitting those other than the seatbelt "bubble" in the rear fender well. A few small dings with a hammer and you're good to go. Get the SE 'bird if you can swing it. It looks to be mostly all there. BTW! WHERE IN THE HELL DO YOU KEEP FINDING THESE CARS! Hope this helps. Let us know how it goes.

Looks like either a Laguna S3 or an El Camino.

yeah. late 70s early 80s 'colonade' style, i believe it was called. el camino or chevelle, if it was still called that. i remember seeing a 'laguna', i think its what they called chevelles in the late 70s.

the 80 turbo looks very dirty, in and out. i dont like autos, but if its already a 400, you dont have to worry about originality. i also dont like t-tops, especially 2nd gens. personally, id get the 78 hardtop firebird, other things equal.

where are you finding all these cheap 2nd gens?
