Thank you both for the responses. I appreciate the compliments.

brynnda, I would restore a 2nd gen all over again. I hardly see any on the streets that are in great condition.

That is absolutely gorgeous!!! What an amazing transformation. I wish it was in the cards to buy a 70-73 and completely go through it. Thank you brynnda for posting the pics, Jorge

There are more go fast parts available for traditional Pontiac V8's than ever before. Is it all stock now or what?

Beautiful '75, nice work man. Diggin' the honeycomb "screen" in your scoop too. First time I've seen something like that, nice touch. Brings back memories of my '76.

Thank you. My 75 has the original Pontiac 400 with the original Turbo 350 Automatic trans. The trans was rebuilt as well as the engine. I upped the power output of the engine a little bit, but I kept all the stock internals just in case I ever put it back to stock. I don't think that is going to happen anytime soon though. I never had the engine dynoed , but I notice significant gains from stock. I had no problems finding engine parts. Check with Butler Performance, Edelbrock ad Kauffman Racing.

Agreed. Same question.

Thank you. I made the shaker screen out of a broken front grille. Cut it to shape and it fit perfect. I almost had a 76, but the owner backed out. No problem though, I'm perfectly happy with my 75. What color was your 76?

Amazing job!! Such a gorgeous car...I LOVE 2nd gens, I was actually just telling a guy at work today how much I want one.

And that color combo is great too! I'm not usually a big fan of red cars, but that red with combined with the colors of the hood bird just looks amazing!

And interesting year too. I don't see alot of the mid year cars like that, I either see the early cars, or the later cars. I like it, I like the earlier looking frontend that yours has as compared to the later style.

Thank you very much for the compliments. I'm not a huge fan of Red, but it was only right to paint it the correct color since it's a numbers matching car. Looking at the color now, I'm so glad I went with it. Like you said the graphics flow well with the color. I also like the fact that you don't see many 75s around. I really think they are going to start moving up the value scale especially since it's the first year of the full rear window.

It was silver. Previous owner(s) had repainted it w/ a blue/charcoal bird/decals, but it originally had red/charcoal bird/decals (I could tell because of the sloppy paint job, there was still some red pin-stripe visible around the side mirrors, LOL). It was pretty beat by the time I got it, drove it for < 2 yrs before I wrecked/totaled it. Bought it back from the insurance co. to restore, everything from the firewall back was straight. Acquired everthing I needed (fenders, hood, grille, bumper, subframe, etc), but never got around to working on it, sold it in pieces about 10 yrs ago.
