damn good job man. just wanted to ask, what kind of driveshaft did you end up using? i found a deal on an ls1 t56 without a bellhousing, so i would use a "gearbox" adapter plate with my bellhousing and clutch, but was wondering if i could use my v6 shaft, need an ls1 car's, or get a custom one done.

I currently have an adapter plate for sale from the gearbox. Shoot me a message. I'm wanting $250 shipped. I believe it will require a shortened bellhousing. A good driveshaft shop can shorten and balance it for you.

I used my stock driveshaft with this adapter plate.

Turbo build is currently in the "Parts Pile" stage.

Plans are to build a block first (8.5:1 CR JE pistons, H-beam rods, fully balanced assembly with an ATI damper), get the items needed like the fuel system (dual 255s, 1 being boost referenced off a hobbs switch), maybe I can get a 240V outlet wired up in the garage so I can at least tack together the hot side and maybe the charge piping, then take it to a local welder that does an amazing job (ex air force welder, certified to do crazy stuff like titanium).

Looking at a BB Turbonetics T70 w/ MPS turbine. Another member has had good success with that setup. I'll have to talk to the guys at Forced Inductions first to see what they're gonna recommend for my setup.

I'd looked at doing twins but it's just too much expense, maybe later. I found the perfect setup but the turbos are $1K each. GT28RS "Disco Potato" turbos, great power all the way, not big peak # setups which is great for my intentions.

Will be W2A intercooled.

Holden intake is going to have a sheet metal plenum done, and a 74mm truck TB mounted.

Big valve race heads w/ cam to match.

60lb/hr injectors under an aeromotive rail to make sure I've got good fuel delivery for a little while until I upgrade to bigger injectors...

That's just the basic list...

I dig it! Very nice project that can never end. I enjoy going to car shows and seeing stuff like that, what people build and do something different. Not to change topic or anything just sure you'd get a kick out of it; Ju1ce is a racer / hobbyist on this site, he races a 3800 Buick Regal was supercharged, now turbo'd. He is legit and shows up plenty of V8's.

Saw you on my way to work this morning Dane, looks good.

I've gotta step in to say that it sounds even less like a V6 in person, especially at idle. You can tell when driving, but it's still tricky.

That's good praise from you Jesse, and I appreciate it! You're one of the few who saw firsthand the challenges I had with the car.

Yes at cruise it sounds a bit different, glad I have this exhaust setup over my old rumbler. Still sounds like a diesel at idle with the cutout open

I like the new build except for twin walbros, had a tuner tell me back when I had the mustangs 2 pumps was bad news. Then watched somebody learn it the hard way, had one pump go on a pass and had just enough fuel to run lean and melt stuff with one pump

^Thanks for the info.

Picked up my roller rockers that I won off pacefabricating's e-bay auction. They're purrdy.

While painting some wood stuff in the garage, I sticker-bombed my tool chest. I felt like I was in elementary school again.

If I ever had been given one, it'd be on there. Guess I should have asked I've spent a bit of cash there just in bolts and gaskets

I was actually thinking about that to myself lastnight. I was like, "Hmm it needs an SDPC sticker."

Awesome job man, it definetly looks like it took a long while, but it also looks like you did a fantastic job! 3800 is a phenominal engine! Hope you can eventually get that turbo man!!

Nothing really, got the BLS projectors installed and waiting to do paint this summer and install the 6LE sail panel. My current stock sail panel is getting worse with the adhesive bleeding through really bad. Looks like the car was sitting under a tree and got sap on it...

Heads are getting worked on, and the guy that will be working on the sheet metal intake for my holden manifold has been honing his skills

First try in background, second attempt up front:
