Yeah, I'm gonna have to go ahead and disagree with you there.

I haven't seen anything since the LS1 era that matches 4th gen styling; however.

I still think an LS1 bird looks better. Besides, with late 1st gen birds, the formula looks best.

Deposit of $2500 and a price of $52,000 for the base car. Optionaly twin turbo LS9. There will be an official unveiling, a bunch of magazing arcticles, and if anyone wants one you can buy the first twin tubro, the actual car that people will be testing. Im making a new post
Would you mind posting some of those pics?

In that magazine they also had another guy....(forget his name)..that was doing a version of the '71 Retro with honeycomb wheels on it. It looked pretty sharp too. I personally wouldn't get one. I'm content with my WS6 and will keep it as long as I can.

That car is called the Lingenfelter LTA patterned after the '70 Trans Am.
It was done by Lingenfelter Engineering out of Decatur, IN

That's right. I couldn't remember the maker of it. I have the magazine back in my room. It was an interesting retro though.

I believe you are on dope.

The Firebird Formula wasn't an option until the 1970 1/2 Firebird was introduced. First Generation was 67-69. Second Generation 70 1/2-81. Pontiac did produce a 1st Gen Firebird Trans Am (1969), but never a 1st Gen Firebird Formula.

Regarding the 5th Gen Firebird Trans Am...

The two versions in March's Hot Rod are amazing. Both are above and beyond what GM did for styling on the new Camaro. The best example being the blue interior of the Lingenfelter version. Just wicked.

Not to say there aren't things I would change. (The taillights of the Trans Am Depot's version are not at all what I'd have chosen.) But thats the truth with the styling of any car.

I can't wait to see the aftermarket's first attempt at a 5th Gen Firebird Formula...

...then again I'm a bit partial.

1st gen Formula? I don't believe the Formula came out until 1970 making it a second Gen.

I like the early 2nd gen's especially with the 455 on the shaker, but then I'm a little old school..
