what did you do to your firebird today?

I really like the LSS, it not only shortens it but brings it closer to the driver, do it, if you don't like it which I highly doubt it's cheap and easy to sell used.

I got the GMMG exhaust installed today, unfortunately they didn't have the corsa style tips I really wanted so will have to go back for those next week. But oh my goodness, the sound.... As I told my wife, it's a sound I never knew existed, yet I always wanted.... My son agrees. It's hard NOT to drive like a fool from every stoplight now!

I just got the Hawk back from the Body Shop. They painted the roof where the glue came through and made what looked like a big Confederate "X". They also painted the rear bumper that had some small paint cracks.
On top of all that, they changed the gears in the Strange 12 Bolt from 4.10 to 3.73. The steel driveshaft that originally came with the rear needed to be shortened about 3/4". The 4.10's, which came with the rear, have been howling since it was new. So now I have to do an easy break in and hopefully the new gears will stay quiet.
Next up, I need to install the Frame Blocks from Detroit Speed.

Usually just lurk and never post but trying to fix that.
Installed rear Koni shocks before work. Just getting in and out of the car I can feel the difference and it didn't squeak anymore. Have the fronts to do as well but that'll be for the weekend.
On the short term to-do list is: replace sail panel (sitting in attic) and get some dents and scratches fixed on the passenger rear quarter panel. LED head lights and fog lamps. Reupholster seats.

Did a fast little interior upgrade. Only cost $50. Love the new look. Oh and the ***** are machined out of aluminum, and are very nice quality.
And, what do you think of this rear end mod. Not bad right?
HVAC *****.
They fit supper nice.

Next project in the works. 6 piston Brembos 370mm 2 piece rotors in the front and 4 piston Brembos with 260mm rotors in the rear. Just accumulating all the parts. The hardest thing is finding rims that will work with out spacers look awesome, and don’t cost 5k.
2015 ZL1 set up. Still need rear rotors. Got this on flee bay $1000. Lucked out!!! They were very dirty and sat in the auction for months. I threw a offer and he went for it. Parts cleaned up like new. 30k miles on them. Don’t even need new pads yet. 😁😁 Next step is machining the rotor centre bore, brake lines and rear backing plates from BB Upgrade. Then the bloody rims. I DONT WANT RO SPEND 5K. 😭😭😭😭😪😪😪
They are massive man.
Also got my LCA and PHB with ROTO. supper nice.
Tracker hub adapters. $250.
Tracker hubs with adapters ready to go. $360 each.

Ya, I jumped on that. The guys on e bay are selling similar sets for around $1400. And some just sit for ever. You have to look and see if the seller added a “make a offer” button. Most are negotiable.

245 tire? Is that an 8" wide wheel?
245/40/19 is about an inch taller than 275/40/17 (which is intended for a 9" or 9.5" wide wheel).
Also, what is the offset/backspacing? That is one of the important factors when looking for a wheel that will clear those brakes (another is spoke design, especially space between back of spoke and hub face).
I use this tool for comparison:
https://tiresize.com/wheel-offset-calculator/
Looking at that second pic, either something is wrong with the pic or there are chunks missing from that tire.

Got the front shocks replaced. What a task. While doing the driver side I got the box end of my wrench stuck between the springs while they were compressed like a dummy. The passenger side top nut was rusted to the bolt, set it in PB blaster overnight but still could not get it off, had to use a Dremel to cut it off and then had to hammer it out. Well ride feels great now as can be expected after changing shocks that have seen 137k miles.
