(History: Since installing a Derale cooling transmission pan, it's had a unexplainable leak)
Removed the Derale cooling transmission pan & cleaned it up. The pan surface where the drain plug screws into is a bit warped from the spot welding on the nut plate from the inside. I found a magnetic drain plug with a larger diameter head and a thicker nylon washer. It appears to cover a wider surface. I also put Teflon tape on the plug's threads. Using Permatex High Tack, I stuck on a very nice looking cork on steel core Victor Reinz pan gasket. New filter ('cause they're cheap) then snugged it all up.
No leaks!
Then dropped it off my 12 x 12 x 12 blocks, gave it a boost and drove it out of the garage.
Then I gave my garage a thorough spring cleaning.

Today i ported and polished my throttle body and did the bump stop mod. Started at 4.34v and took it to 4.70v. It has better throttle response and pulls harder at what is now a true wot. Had a good time doing it.

When the hurricane was coming in, I had my sump pump at the ready to keep my below grade garage free of the floods-as it has before.
BUT the power failed early on and as they said we were to get 12 inches of rain, I figured it would be better to have the car parked outside than inside under feet of water.
The 12 inches never came, thankfully.
After the main part of the storm passed, I washed it and tucked it away for the winter.
Of course, as the rest of the neighbor hood was dealing with power loss, trees down and streets blocked, they all thought I was nutz for washing my car.

[QUOTE=ws6foose;16857085]thinking of descreening also, whats your opinion of it afterwards?
I could feel a sotp difference. I have descreened every car and truck that i have owned. I had read that some on here have said that it straightens out the air and that tuners have problems tuning it when this mod is done. That is all crap. I talked to my tuner and he said that he recomends that it be taken out.
