Wow, Rob. I like that Formula. Mine is a red hardtop M6 Formy with a custom 2otl. Does your car have cloth or leather?

That was before i was born.
The 95 came with the stock exhaust and what turned out to be, WS6 tips. He put the 2OTL on when he bought it. The 96 came with the 2OTL. It was the only cat back SLP offered until mid 97. Of course, 97 2OTL came with the cone of silence until the dual/dual came out.

Thanks. Mine is cloth. When we ordered it, we didn't want leather because you'd loose the power seat. My wife is only 5', so she needed that extra to shift/drive.

Well I know they're not pics but heres some comparo vids of my exhaust, swtiched out the Magnaflow to the 2 OTL SLP. Whats funny is the pipes on the 2OTL are not straight out, kind of have a jig in them, I think it came off the '93-'97 Firehawk. I bought it used off of here and cleaned it up. It sounds badasssss at WOT, so glad I made the switch.

I see a few LS1 WS6's and LT1 T/A's/Formula's around, but I can't say I've ever seen another NBM Formula around. That's good and bad...good, I'm unique...bad, everyone knows it's me when they see the car.

That is one thing I do generally like about the car though, the rarity. I remember 2 years ago when my boss picked up a new Shelby GT...he was bragging about how it was only one of 10k made or something like that. I was like BFD, my car is one of prob a few hundred (in that color). I think total Formula production in '00 was between 2 and 3 thousand IIRC.

Although like I said, I've never seen another NBM Formula around, the prez of the f-bod club I'm in has a NBM '98 Firebird (with a built LT1!), so other than the wheels, we basially look like twins. We don't live anywhere near each other though, so the only time we're in the same town is for meets.

Oh, and they must have changed the option availability from '96 to '00. Mine has leather AND power driver's seat.

Could be from a 3rd gen. The SLP 2OTL doesn't come out straight and has a bend when it reaches under the bumper.

Here's a shot of my TTA.

Wow, I forgot about this thread! A year later and I still haven't gotten tips!

1psycho, once again, your car looks great. Those GMMG tips look great, I don't think I've ever seen them on a Formula before.

I think I might just go with no tips, I want to change the muffler without going the catback route, so I was thinking just a single 3" turndown tucked up out of sight.

This looks really good!

The only thing I would change (if this were my car) would be I would want Dual Turn Downs rather than the Single. I realize you wouldn't see either of the turn downs (at least not very well). And I understand that's kinda the point. But, in my opinion there's just something about a Muscle Car needing to at least have the appearance of Dual Exhaust to make it look right.

Sweet ride, man!

Note also that it is a Firehawk.....I have noticed that the firebird formulas and a trans ams were both made into firehawks...although the body styles stay in the stock form.....
