Default Wimpy Horn

Does anyone else feel that the F-Body's horn sounds like it should be on a motorcycle? It is bad when your exhaust is louder than your horn. Anyone change theirs out for something louder, like a Hummer or something?

i bought a air horn from meijer for $40 bucks or so. its very loud. its the small one that looks like a normal horn just cut the plug off the end and wired it to the normal steering wheel switch. i could hear it over my lt's and loud mouth.

I always say "Horn works fine. Watch for finger anyway!" Put in a CB radio and wire up the PA. PA speakers are $20 at radio shack and can just go behind the bumper. Then you can yell whatever you need to! Instead of "BEEEEEEP" you can say "Look before you pull out so I won't kill you stupid f*ckin a$$!". Instead of "BEEEEEP" you can say "It's a parking lot FOR CARS so get your slow a$$ out the middle of the lane!" Instead of "BEEP BEEP BEEP" You can say "Hey Fred!" The look on people's faces is priceless! Set up the alarm to yell something insane instead of just honking the horn!

There are many places to get CB radios. Wallyworld, Radio Shed, Pilot truck stop, search CB Shop in yellowpages.com. You want one small and to make sure it has a PA output. I'd gotten a Cobra model which has everything in the mic. The mic is connected to a small box via a coil cord. The small box is to be hidden and the power wire and antenna connect into it. The PA speaker can be gotten at Radio Shed and a little speaker wire and a 1/8th inch speaker jack and you're all set.

i went to radio shack just looking for the speaker, worker came over, directed me to suggested speakers for the cb, and cb itself after i had told them my intentions. hook it up, speaker wasnt loud after testing it plugged to my phone, take it back, buy huge speaker, it was loud, then find the mic doesnt work and i had bought the last cb they had. so forget it ill just keep revving
