JohnnyB has your best answer. This is the price you pay for having a decent car.

My DD/family car is a Buick Park Avenue. I drive it into the winter til the roads get really snowy or salty, then I break out the 85 Chevy truck, complete with a manually choked carburetor (anyone remember carbs?)
It's 2-wheel drive, picked it up for $1500 about 3 years ago. Gets me around just fine.

I'm sure I probably look like ol' Jed Clampett on an outing when I'm driving the old Chevy truck around town, but I'm secure in the knowledge that my toys are safely tucked away out of the snow and salt.

I used to drive mine in the winter---but now I have a Traverse---so my Bird only comes out on sunny days.

Nothing like an eastcoaster all pumped up on being in California. CA native here but working in KS as that's where my position took me. Ya gotta do what ya gotta do so you learn to tolerate the cold and manage your f-body in snow.

Winters aren't really to bad here so I'll drive it a bit. But I have a Jetta for DD driving anyway.

Yes I like having my old truck, comes in handy for the Home Depot runs. The paint is faded and there is a lot more rust on it from Ohio winters now. I just put my sand tubes in the back last night we got our first snow that stuck. I can go through about anything in old red.

I have to drive mine it's the only thing I have lol. Lots of washing and waxing to keep the salt from sticking. I also had the undercarriage coated so hopefully thats helps a little. Last night we had our first snow and ice event. Basically coming home from work it was like tokyo drift ha ha. The T/A is a nightmare in anything but dry weather. Oh well nothing I can do but drive slow and be careful.

Thank God, someone who washes their car religiously. I cant STAND my car being dirty with salt, if it were my choice I'd put it in my garage, but no. My mothers VW GTi Golf and my sisters Cobalt SS takes up both spots in the garage. Stupid 4 cylinders

Luckily here in central OK the weather stays pretty fair. Just gets pretty cold at times.
I used to have to DD my T/A, rain, snow whatever, its all I had to drive aside from my wife's truck. Thankfully I have my Powerstroke to D.D unless its nice and I feel like breaking the car out for a spin.
