Default VIN decoding?

Hey all, I have been looking around at the sticky's for VIN decoding. I have found my options and so called rarity, cool. If the 12th number is the production sequence, are the five remaining numbers the number of my build? I am just curious where it was on the line, thanks. Les.

The last 6 digits are the production sequence.

The first one produced of that model year would end in 000001.

OK, so my last six digits are 122295, I did not think there were that many made?

2002 marked the final year of production for the Firebird. Below is a sampling of that final year's production numbers, as well as examples of some of the year's rarest option combinations.

2002 OVERALL PRODUCTION
Firebird coupe 8,423
Firebird convertible 1,498
Formula coupe 901
Trans Am coupe 3,962
Trans Am convertible 998
Trans Am cpe. w/Ram Air* 12,212
Trans Am cony. w/Ram Air* 2,696
Total 30,690

* Includes Collector Edition

2002 COLLECTOR EDITION
Collector Edition cpe. w/6-speed manual trans.842
Collector Edition cpe. w/4-speed auto. trans.506
Collector Edition cony. w/6-speed manual trans.554
Collector Edition conv. w/4-speed auto. trans.488
Total 2,390

2002 TRANS AM
Trans Am cpe. w/6-speed manual trans. 1,591
Trans Am cpe. w/4-speed auto. trans. 2,371
Trans Am cony. w/6-speed manual trans. 235
Trans Am conv. w/4-speed auto. trans. 763
Trans Am cpe. w/Ram Air, 6-speed trans. 6,828
Trans Am cpe. w/Ram Air, 4-speed auto. 5,384
Trans Am cony. w/Ram Air, 6-speed trans. 1,176
Trans Am cony. w/Ram Air, 4-speed auto. 1,520

I did find this excerpt from another post, mine is 1 of 842 35th Collector Edition. If there were 30,690 T/As made and 2,390 were Collector Editions, is my sequence number 12229 or 22295? Many thanks, Les>>>

Neither. Your production sequence # is 122295. It includes Firebirds and Camaros that were produced in the same plant.
