Low Oil Light 97 Trans Am
Hey Guys,
I'm having an issue, and was looking for a bit of advice.
I have a '97 Trans Am, and the Low Oil Light comes on when I turn the ignition on (like all the other lights) and stays on. I've checked the oil several times now, and while it may be slightly low, I can't imagine it's coming on for that. What's odd about it, is I can shut the ignition off (before even starting the car), then turn it back on, and the Low Oil Light will shut off.
For the quick description, basically if I just hop in the car, and start it, the Low Oil light will stay on. If I turn on the ignition (don't have to start it), then turn off, then back on, the Low Oil Light will shut off.
Any ideas? Sensor, maybe?
Thanks!

Sounds like the problem I had with my 95 Camaro and currently have with my 96 Grand Prix it's from a bad oil level sensor. On a nice car I'd fix it, on my beater GP the low oil light goes well with my low coolant light because I'm to cheap/lazy to replace that sensor also.
