Default my 92 is using oil

I've got a '92 with a little problem. It's using oil. It's a 3.1 V-6 convert which you can see here if you have QuickTime - and like virtual reality.

(This is the BEST car I've ever owned. Fits like a glove. Almost no service problems since I got her in '94)

Anyway, using like three quarts a week and Amzoil is too expensive for that. (thank God I have dual remote and the extra capacity it provides.) It's had a very small leak for years around one valve cover and I wasn't ready to spend $700 or whatever to fix it. This time, I have NO IDEA where the oil it going. No spots, no smoke. I pour it in and it goes away.

Any ideas i can look into myself B4 I visit the $dealer$? (I can hear the dealer right now, "well, we can't tell anything until we replace that $800 VC gasket leak."
