Default 1997 Firebird Formula questions

Hey guys this weekend I get to pickup a 97 Formula vert, triple white,

Anyways not sure yet if it is a Ws6 car or not, But the guy said it was a v-6 and not a v8 would this be correct

My thinking would be that if it isnt a formula then someone added the Formula badges to it, or it is n the LT1 is no longer there, but why the 3.8...

I was just curious did they make the formula vert with a 3.8 or were they all lt1's

Ill have the vin tomorrow, and the RPo codes this weekend but am sort of curious now.

Thanks all

Probably a clone. Doubt anybody would go through the efforts of putting a V6 mill in there.

Why wouldn't you check the vin and rpo codes and do some research BEFORE making a large purchase....

Thanks for the info guys, its a base firebird vert, triple white with a v-6 95k, been sitting for 4 plus years, got it for 650, needs a lot of TLC, some mechanic things like brake lines etc, but nothing major.

Plan was to keep it if it was a formula, but since its not what would you guys do, Do the Minimal work and flip it, Or is it worth more in parts? Im open to all suggestions. and feedback

You could probably fix it up, get it running decent and make a good profit if you don't want to keep it.

FYI, there were only 95 Firebird 'verts w/ white leather built in '97. 251 Firebird 'verts were white, and 191 had white tops. Put them all together, thats probably a pretty rare combo. Not saying a rare V6 Firebird is desireable or valueable, just sayin'.

you could even do an LT1/LS1/LQ swap and still be in it for less than buying an LS car
