Default what sets your birdy apart from the rest?

Alot of people grow up trying to be like everyone else right? and now that we are all grown up we wish we could set ourselfs apart from the pack to make our cars better and add alittle more... personality... to our birds.

i wanna know what you have done to your birds to set them apart from the rest? dont be judging others for there cars. (if you dont have anything nice to say then dont say anything at all- as thumper would have put it)

i want lots and lots of pictures of everything from paint to custom hoods to big A tires to custom sound systems to custom shift ***** to replacement seats!
lets see those custom rides!

more pics the better!

if you want you can explain how you did your mod and why.

What sets mine apart from the rest....its not a ws6 or ws6 clone...seems like everyone wants a ws6 hood....you see WAY more ws6's or clones than not...at least around here anyways... sleek beek ftw! And the color....1 of 44 red orange metallics. No recent pics worth sharing with the polished tt2's on it...sorry

Well...

There's only 26 Bright Purple Metallic LS1 Formulas to begin with since it was a '98-only color... mine's a hard top, so that makes it more unique, and I don't imagine there are many out there with a Raptor hood, and there's probably only one that has a hardtop, Raptor hood, 19" RPM 505s, and is slammed about as far as you can go without scraping all the time.. and I'm from Washington, which is like the Sahara of LSx cars - you see them very rarely up here, not very popular.

I'd say it's pretty safe to say if you see this car driving down the street, you don't have to guess whether or not it's me.

Love BPM. It's not exactly a color that suits me, but it is just one of those insane colors. Like Statutory Grape in the Mopar list

My car is probably 1 of 3 known in the US with a T-56 adapted to run behind the V6.

So far I'm the only one with a set of Speedline Mistral 6's on any car (on the internet at least). Speedline UK and IT have zero production info because they've changed ownership too much over the years.

It's not fast, it's not flawless, but it gives me the enjoyment that I want out of it while still being a very good daily driver.

It's one of a few Maple Red Metallic Firebird's in Lubbock, one other had the same loud exhaust as my previous setup (running a quieter one now) and a lot of local forum members thought I was out tearing up the streets. My car was nose up in the air with the engine/k-member out of it

License plate takes care of the rest.

awesome birds guys!!!
1 of 44 i love the red orange, one of my favorite colors that have ever been put on a stock car out of any car maker!!! its just so clean and different, not too many orange cars out there. the same goes with the purple, i saw 1 purple firebird but i talked to the owner if it was a real oem purple and he said no he had it painted and didnt know they were rare. and the raptor hood is sick! and not to mention the license plate ties the whole thing together.

the t56 behind the v6? never heard of that!! bet if you built that out you would never have to do anything to the tranny haha

Well, we'll see how it likes what happens next. Currently doing groundwork for a boosted build, still wanting to make it a good daily but something that's still a screamer when set to "kill."

Sets it apart from the rest? I cleaned EVERYTHING when I did my swap.. Wheel wells, entire under body, shocks, springs, etc etc.. The car is absolutely spotless, not many people do that.
Painted engine bay..
325s in the rear..

Other than that, no much that "sets it apart" I don't guess... Forged nitrous 370.

I'm in the same minority thinking as you. You won't see many '01 Trans Am 'verts that are basically 100% stock in this color combo. If you see one there will be a good chance it is me, especially with a Nascar tag on the rear.
These photos were taken on the Tail of the Dragon a few years ago.

Nice Rick!

Firebird or Trans Am, you decide.

This 2000 did start its life as a 3.8. But that did't last long once I got it into my sticky hands.

Let it breath a little easier

C6 Fogs lamps used as drl's

1/4" glass used for fog lamp lenses

Some interior work

6.0 installed last Winter

Turbo installed this Winter

Getting close to being completed...... again.

1. My car is slow
2. It looks about half as good as all these other 'birds

Pretty much sums it up.

Mine stands out because you don't see many White on Charcoal birds at all! I think I have seen 1 other in person, and 1 at the junkyard in the 12 years we have had my car... I'm just a set of wheels away from "looking" stock.

The car is still a big work in progress... Going in for paint soon!

Some awesome cars in this thread ! DrEvyl that is the coolest / cleanest purple Formula I have seen and BlackBirdDaddy you turned that firebird into a damn monster ! I really like the old school light blue on the intake ,etc like the old pontiac's had , very classy touch indeed !

While my car might not be too extreme it is a little rare around my area . 1999 30th anniversary #0093 , had shipped from Florida in 2008 . I have seen 2 others so far in the SF Bay Area and I'm one of the rare few that's dumb enough to modify the damn thing ! Either way I don't have any pictures but i have a few short vid's to share .

Had to cut my exhaust cause the yoke from the 9 inch was hitting it , now it has a lame sounding y pipe ! E cutout coming soon ! Kinda crappy vid sorry

Having a little fun with my friend in his z28 on a bridge in mexico lol ! You can at least see and hear the car in action . Still had tru duals in this video .

Well that's that ! Let's keep em coming I want to see more of them rare birds !
