Maybe I get some advice here..
Got a 96 LT1 Trans Am WS6..
Car ran always fine til recently.. got stranded on Interstate engine shut off..
PO300 Misfire code.. Engine did not start anymore.. Shop found a bad Ignition coil.. replaced it and car was running fine for a month..
the Car starts always right away.. no problems..
after getting to the first light and stop, the car begins to shake ( during stoping and holding the brake.. it is more severe in return gear..
sometimes its bad shaking then its almost not noticeable.
on 2 days I got a flashing service light with the po300 misfire code
the engine misses and stumbles but still drives on. after a while it went away...
strange thing.. during day with hot summertemps the problem is bad
at night with cooler temps the car shakes with stop but no ses light and codes.. seems heat related??
I checked the Plugs and wires.. wires are 20 months old AC Delco, fuel pump has been changed one year ago plus fuel relay. like mentioned above new Ignition coil (old icm still installed), opti no crack visible, opti age don't know
like I said only po300 shows up and seldom misfire and flashing ses light..
always starts right away.. always starts to shake at stop with warm engine..
OPTI ?? ICM ?? IAC or TPS sensor??
thanks
GREG
