Default Sold my 'bird

So today was a rough day for me. After my TA had started producing a knock and I couldn't afford to fix it; it made me depressed seeing as how it was my first F body and I worked my *** off to buy it. Well today it sold and seeing it loaded on the trailer and hauled away was heart wrenching. I bought the car for $9k and put about $7k into it. After the motor took a ****, I let it go for $3500. Hardest decision of my life but it went to a good home. Now looking for number two and hopefully will have it within the next 6 months.

Know how you feel. When I got my bird, lady I bought it from was in tears the entire time we were signing papers. Something about these cars gets people really emotionally attached

But don't worry, I'm sure you'll find one and build it better and louder then before

The plan is as of right is to buy a 408 stroker car and go from there. I can't afford to build one right now. Maybe in few years but I'll take a pre-built street car.

I couldn't sell mine. I bought mine for 14k n put another 6k into it. It's really not the money, though. It was my first "fast" car and my dad helped pick it out. He passed away in August.

I use to feel like that about my Firehawk, but I plan on selling it next summer and getting a C6 Grand sport. I will make sure it goes to a good home though..

I didn't really care about the money either. It was my first f body and my first real car that I bought myself. Granted I was only 18 when I bought it a few years ago when I first joined the military. Saved all my money to buy the car I wanted ever since they came out. I'm still kicking myself in the *** a few days later after seeing it hauled away and I constantly scan the classified section looking.

I know the feeling man. I felt that way after selling my 88 GTA which was my first car.

Sold it so I could have room for the new TA and was sick of putting money into fixing everything besides the drivetrain . Annnnnnnnnnnnd it was sold by the time I got there. ( in retrospect, I'm VERY VERY VERY glad I didn't get that particular TA )

I needed a car immediately so I said screw it, I'm not financing anything I don't want. Had $2500 cash, bought a 01 Blazer. Hated that thing with a passion. Even traded it for a 93 Z28, which I sold after a few months ( Showing early symptoms of valvetrain issues ) and had enough cash to pick up my current TA for $4500.

Make sure you get another TA or you'll end up kicking yourself in the *** for a while.

Check my signature, you'll be back, haha! I've had at least one F-Body in my driveway since 2001 and I just can't seem to stay away from them!

I felt sick when my brother traded his 97 t/a. He is the reason I got mine and resulted in a new passion and connection between us. It had the beautiful oe purple, cant remember the actual name for the color. I tried to talk him out of it every time I talked to him. I never see LT1 models that looked that good. I actually have it in my pictures I believe
