Electric Cutouts a good idea?
Thinking about adding a electric cutout to my bird, but I'm not sure if I should or not.
Was hoping for some input and some recommendations on a brand. Maybe DMH?

QTP is a good brand.
You will gain some power as well, especially when you get in the higher power ranges and mufflers start to be restrictive.
I personally love them because its like have a dual mode exhaust. Quiet for cruising when you want, and then loud and choppy (if cammed) when you want. You might just say "well get a good exhaust", but one may just be too loud for what you want all the time.

used to have one before I changed my exhaust setup. they are nice because u can, as stated by Jake18, be loud when u want to be. just be sure to keep it lubed and occasionally "exercise" it or it might lock up like my old one did.

Okay, I'll re-phrase, ...
If you simply want to make noise, ..., sure.
You may see some minimal gains when used in conjunction with mating mod's.
But if you are a stock vehicle, then it'll be just to make more noise, ...
In my opinion, if you do it with a stock vehicle, ..., it'll just make it sound like a 1970 Chevrolet 366ci grain truck, doggin' down the gravel roads, ..., Not that good.
If you have cam/exhaust/etc mod's, ..., then it very well make some gains in the upper HP range, which will be good for racing, etc.
But too many people just add one to make noise, ...

I have one, and as i drive my car with it more and more I wish i just got true duals dumped before the axle. Like previously stated controlling how loud you want to be can be pretty fun
