Default 98 trans am check gauges light flickers

As title says it faintly flickers at the same time my tach gauge and speedo jump around. Voltage meter is where it's always at so it's not lower than normal. Just curious what could be causing this

Someone else said the cluster might be bad? Would this affect the car at all? Other than not knowing speed fuel etc

Default sorry to bring this back up

My 98 TA is having the exact same problem and i also just put in the escalade alternator. It seems like it does it when i let off the throttle, but it doesn't always happen. If i bring the RPMs up it goes away. I checked all the grounds and they're solid. Did this fix it?
