This is true...its like a foam pad thing that goes around the hole that the third brake light wiring goes through and there's also some kind of rubber epoxy sealer glob looking stuff on each of the studs on the wing

There are gaskets that go under the wing mounting points but they are discontinued. I tried several dealers but all say the same. Can try either Dum Dum sealer or 3M ribbon sealer.

from what I remember, it was the foam pads at each bolt hole and the rubber at wiring coming out of the wing.

It was some kind of rubber looking stuff on the bolts and the foam pad for the wire hole on my 99 wing...different for different years maybe?

I used neoprene and cut to fit. $10 for a sample, shipped, did the trick: http://rubbersheetroll.com/samples.htm

There appears to be sealing washers that go over the bolt holes between the spoiler and the deck lid, it's used in a zillion applications and still available, GM number 20733729. Even Summit lists it.

There's another seal, it may be the one for the wiring. Not sure if you'll find it: 20733729.
