Seeing Trans Ams in the snow...
Just makes me cringe. I know that they are a lot of people daily drivers but it just doesn't seem right. Passed this one yesterday...

Some people don't have the money for two cars or maybe his other car is not operable right now. I don't think they should be driven in winter either tho.
I had to drive mine once in the snow a few months ago and I didn't even make it home. (the roads were unplowed though and my tires are NOT anywhere near snow tires or all season tires) Enough was enough lol I put it away as soon as I could after that

Unfortunately, my T/A is my only car. Though I do make sure to wash it regularly so the salt doesn't settle in too bad.
Heres from that winter vortex we had last year. I had already been cleaning it off for 5-10 minutes before I took this.
She really didn't want to idle since it was something like -15 and -40 with the windchill. Couple of minutes of playing with her throttle (giggity) and she warmed up enough to idle on her own.

my favorite, or really the only one i've seen, video of a T/A in the snow.

I can remember back in the early 90's I bought a 1988 Z28 with a manual trans and the IROC style wheels with Goodyear Eagles. First time I got caught in the snow was a joke, the car was useless in that kind of weather. I got it going, pulled up to a stop sign on a road with a slight crown in it, hit the brakes and the car stopped, then slid to the right all the way to the curb. She wasn't going anywhere that day!

1202 HP in the snow looks just like my 325 HP in the snow!

There was an old thread years ago that had an FRC 'Vette in the snow with a Christmas tree on it. That was back when the car was still fairly pricey on the used market.
A Navy buddy of mine had a bolt-on, six speed LT1 Z28 years ago. I remember being behind him as he tried to make it up a steep hill on base in the snow with me behind him in a Z71 X-cab. It was an exercise in futility. Then he got stationed in Maine and the car stayed parked all winter.
Snow on that TA looks weird.

I thought the same thing. But I guess my car looks weird at times because it gets driven in snow. I have other cars, but none are more snow worthy, so my A4 DD gets the nod in all weather conditions. Thankfully, southern Kansas gets much less snow than the Great Lakes area, and it's flat here. Bolt-on my Blizzaks, and I get around ok in it.

My A4 had TCS and did okay with low speed around town stuff...bought my M6 without it and had to drive it 150+ miles home at below freezing...major puckering, but it would have sold out from under me if I hadn't done it...and birds are rare around here.

I hate seeing these cars driven in salt. In Minnesota here they murder the roads with salt.
I did paint correction on my buddies ws6 that he got this past summer that has seen quite a few Minnesota winters. It turned out way nice but the under body is a sad story. I should of taken some pictures of the under body, salt is for french fries not f-body's !

Yep...the salt really sucks.
Here in Michigan they lay it down THICK.
I am constantly washing my wife's car but it still rusts in places you cannot get to. Driving on the highway is the worst. The chemical solution they put down get's into everything. Your car will never be the same. If you really care about your F body......don't push salt with it!
