Anyone have issues with not being able to manually open a headlight? Mine have had brass gears for a few years, but last night i had the headlights on, but after shutting them and trying to turn them back on, only the passenger side opened. I tried to manually open the driver side… the manual gear turns some but then locks and wont turn any further.

I'm using THESE with those Amazon bulbs. They are good.

I'm having an issue with my headlight door alignment but it's not related to these housings...

The heatsink on those Sealight bulbs look similar to the heatsink on the bulbs I have.
Here is how I fit them.

Just took a couple slits and bending of the bucket on the car.

I sent back the Genssi headlights I had purchased, and they agreed to take them after some negotiation (I was way past the 30 day return period). I ordered some LMC housings, but not the LED's yet.
Question: do the factory wiring connectors need to be replaced with the Sealight LED's? If so, would they be similar to the ones mentioned by JB above https://www.walmart.com/ip/Unique-Ba...Auto/684661346 ?

Yes, the connectors must be changed, unless you try sticking the bare copper wires from the pigtails on the new connectors in to the factory sockets. Which is not the best way to go.
98-02 Firebirds use OEM H4703 for lows and H4701 for high beams.
The picture below shows the OEM connectors, and the correct connectors for the Sealights.

I believe some of the Sealight type connectors had the locking tabs on the sides and others on the top of the connectors -- see pics.
I got these bulbs:

If anyone has the proper crimper and wants to do this, I probably have spare terminals and connectors laying around that should make their way out of my house.

I did the LMC Housing/Sealight LED install described above and it turned out well. I had ordered the connectors pictured above, but the suppiied LMC connectors worked with the factory connector, so no need for cutting and splicing.
One problem I found is that the factory connector then dropped below the pop-up headlight mechanism and interfered with it closing completely. It seemed that the connector would wedge between the healight housing and the core support panel. I remedied that by routing the wiring through the outside of the headlight housing as pictured, and all is well.
These made for a big improvement, though not as bright as HID projectors I have seen. Together with my 35w HID fogs, though, I have excellent spread and good distance.

The LMC units fit in place of the stock lamps. That IS the plug and play option.
Making a better bulb out of the stock form factor would be so outrageously expensive, it wouldn't sell or be profitable. The LMC option allows the use of modern bulbs in the stock location.

Blackbird Lighting Solutions (BLS) has some projector kits.
You can also buy brackets on ebay to install Hella 60mm Projectors (which is technically what is in one of the BLS Kits). In another thread I designed some shrouds for those projectors to make then look a little better.
Otherwise, LMC Truck Housings are the easiest and cheapest for an upgrade. You can put LEDs in them too for even more output.
