So this where I'm at..... Got this thing out and it was a BEAR. Didn't break anything so that's a plus for my first time. New opti should be here Monday. Doing plugs, wires, water pump and thermostat while I got it here

Any ideas on how to clean this filthy mess up? It would be nice to not worry about the opti right now

Car is coming along great! I have always stayed away from spraying down my lt1. I know a lot of people do spray theirs down and have no issues afterwards, but i would try some type of cleaning agent like purple power on a rag and wipe everything external down.

Kudo's on the shifter plate! I had mine out, and didn't think out of the box. Next time!
OTOH, that engine, ugh. Put a big pan under it, and a pitcher of kerosene and a brush....
Have fun!

$100 out of a 99 Silverado

Low oil pressure was the only problem

Some goodies along with FI Tech intake

She's ready to go in
I will be putting it in maybe next week or week after. Once my mechanic gets an open bay

Very cool, 97 TA is my fav nose style. Nothing better than a cast iron block IMO to take a hell of a beating.
