I'm in the process of finalizing a deal on a 1999 Formula Firehawk. So not technically a Trans Am I'm currently the owner of a nice lower mileage SOM SS camaro, but I've ALWAYS wanted a Trans Am.
So to the purists I might look silly driving around in a Formula with a Trans Am jacket. I'll get a picture up shortly...

Very sweet looking car!
I hope you are able to close the deal.
Because of the jacket, I envisioned a bandit TA era car.
I just want to get a hat but I can't find any that look good! Need one when I am driving around in the Florida sun.
Just returned from a drive down on the beach! She sure is a fun car and really turns heads!

My ideal car would be a bandit era car. I want a 77-78 TA with an LS swapped in. I would DD the sh** out of a car like that.
I love taking drives along the beach, especially in a ttop car. Usually makes for a good setting to snap a few pics as well.
And for anyone who wants to weigh in, I've got a thread started in the "what's it worth" section to get a better idea of the value of the hawk. Check it out:

Love the verts as well. I really like that raptor hood too. I think it's the best looking hood on a TA.
I'm not usually a fan of white cars but yours is a beaut. Definitely a great combo with the white leather interior. well done

Cool hat.
You could get those silver space suit lookin jackets for lotsa cars back then. I had a Porsche one I kept for about 30 years. Finally cut it up, saving the patches. My wife sewed a couple of them on a grey leather Members Only jacket for me. Remember those? Yes, I am a cheap f er, in case you were wondering! :-0

Carolina Bandit, your car is sweeeet!!!!
You must get tons of comments and
On a trip this past weekend to Raleigh I had many people compliment our ride, from simple service station stops to two separate people at lunch at a Wendy's. I thought I was at a cruise-in.
It's really cool and unexpected as the cars aren't really that old yet. I know the lines of the car are really cool but I also think the hidden headlights are grabbing attention since they are so passe.

And it's always great to see some f-body appreciation. Every once in a while I'll have someone come up and talk to me about my camaro.
Where in NC are you located?
