No, it's not aftermarket. In SLP lingo, it's called the unique rear decklid spoiler. Commonly known as an Iroc spoiler. The spoiler debuted in 2001 on the 10th anniversary Firehawk in Trans Am trim. In 2002, 483 people checked the option box pertaining to that bad *** spoiler. I was one of them. It could be ordered in any of the stock colors for 2002 & cost an additional $699. Only available on the Trans Am Firehawk. Well worth the money in my book. Name: WD7A0038_zpsb99afcdd.jpg

I've had this car since May 4th 2017 and have put on 8000 kms (5000 miles). It had lowering springs on it when I got and those were the first to go - couldn't stand the ride and couldn't clear anything on the road. Much better now. Need new tires as a result - they didn't wear well with the lower springs. Love it so far, what a great grand touring car this is!

Your tire wear had nothing to do with the actual springs themselves or being actually lower, its all in the alignment. After changing ride height the car needs to have an alignment done, if not the tires will wear quickly and likely on the inside. With that being said hopefully you got a proper alignment done after putting oem springs back on, otherwise your tires may still wear quickly.

When I tried to get the car safetied with the lowering springs, they couldn't get the alignment in spec. After the oem springs were installed, the alignment was no problem. I've since replaced the tires as well. Handles beautifully now. Love this car!
