Default 4th gen taillight blackout covers??? with LED bulbs?

I am really considering ordering a set of black tail light covers for my firebird but I'm a little concerned about the amount of light they will put out during the day. Has anyone used them or know if LED bulbs will be bright enough to see through them??

I hear that starting Friday, we're all going to start getting pulled over a lot more... (We already look guilty in Firebirds and I've personally had my fair share of police harassment driving a stock unit...)

I'd skip the covers for at least a few years and not give the police reason to order a search.

The civil libertarians in power will be going on a 4 year vacation, starting Friday.

I haven't seen DOT legal lens covers before, so no matter how well they transmit light - they will always be an excuse for you to get pulled over.

Did you consider spraying the tail lights with nightshade?

I have had the blackout covers on my bird for a couple of years now, with LED tails and reverse lights, and have had no issues with police. As long as you use a white light and not red, you shouldn't have an issue with them not being bright enough.
