Does anyone know how to remove not the a/c Vent but the plastic ring that holds it in?

Assuming you mean the outer most ring and not the portion that holds the blades. They just pull out with the exception of the one in the guage bezel it's molded in. There are four nubs like crosshairs that hold it in. Just gotta tug a bit. But concidercon the age of our vehicles it maybe a litte stuck to the vynil of the dash so take your time working them free as it may tear the vynil if you go fast
