Default 2001 Trans Am Firehawk #0219

Posted on here that I got her a few weeks ago. She was suffering from some neglect. I am slowly but surely whipping her back into shape.
Rock Chips all over the front
Leaking windshield (Fixed)
Cracked Dash Pad
4 Dry rotted tires (New Nittos)
T-Top bar ends missing (Replaced)
Cracked door panels
Various interior parts faded & dry rotted
Console ruined (Have replacement)
Chrome peeling from wheels (Have replacement set)
Rear Bilsteins missing
Crappy Unknown shifter (Have Hawks!)
5 speed shift **** ( Have NOS replacement)
Headliner ruined (Have replacement)
Leather seats have the look and feel of hard plastic ( Think I am going to replace with White leather)
One grille missing from hood (Have used replacement)
and so on. I will try to update with pics and parts at least once a week

Also watching for updates. Nice to see a neglected Firehawk brought back to life by a dedicated new owner. Post some pictures!

OK here is a weekly post .Update on the leaking windshield, I had it pulled and put back in. No more leak. While it was out I fixed some rust that was pretty bad from not having a good seal. Ordered new End caps for the T-Top bar and installed them. I repaired the rust with Quick Steel, that worked really well. Then rustoleum primer followed by Duplicolor Arctic White paint. I will have looked at again when it is in the shop for a couple of other things. Bonus pic of the SweeT Dash pad that I removed with the windshield out so I could clean that area really good. No small pieces left to float around anywhere.

Where did you find the end rubbers for the t-top bar?I’m assuming you are talking about the bar between the t-tops.

I'd like to know too. And the GM part # if possible. Mine are in fine shape, but I like to keep spares of various bits on hand, in case they are needed one day.

*Edit* found them, Hawks, $49 for a pair. Ouch!

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. Been kind of busy. Plus work slowed thanks to Covid Grrrr! So my funds have slowed. I did replace the console, it now has a good ashtray and new boot ring. Cleaned up the old boot and installed. Got 2 Monsoon head units. Installed the first and it's crapped out . I haven't had time to try the other one.

will get more updated pics soon

Did the Monsoon unit break or did it lock itself from being installed in a different car?

The first Radio didn't work when I got it. It would power off and on with every bump. But the second works like a champ! Pulled the power steering pump yesterday. Putting a new one with an aftermarket cooler hopefully today.
