Your 1st Firebird to your current Firebird
This might be interesting to post. What was your first Firebird and what is your current Firebird? Hope you guys have photos.
Here is my first, a 1996 Formula bought new when I lived in FL. I owned it 9 years.
My current 2001 Trans Am, also bought new near Charlotte, NC. This T/A is the longest I have ever owned any car.

I still have my first Firebird. 2001 Formula, Black, Auto, 75th Anniversary Package. I bought it new and still have it. I used to daily drive it (even in winter). I only drive it summers now. I drive my 2013 Mustang GT winters now (also bought new and shared duty in summers too).
I use separate wheels and tires summer vs winter.

This isn't my 1st 'Bird, but here's a photo of one that looks just like it, a 1976 T/A 455-4sp. I bought it used in the mid '80s and it had been driven hard and put away wet. It had been hit in the front and the PO had repainted it and applied blue-charcoal decals / bird before I got it, but it still had the original red pin-striping around the side mirrors showing through the spray.:
I ditched the factory Y-pipe to a single cat (all that was on it when I bought it) and installed a system for a '74 (no cats), that really woke it up. It had A/C (didn't work) and factory Hurst shifter w/ the foam-covered T-handle (worn down to the metal). Not fast by today's standards, but was a blast to drive and handled like a dream. A little over a year after I bought it, I hit a wet patch mid-corner, slid into the oncoming lane and hit another car head-on. I bought it back from the insurance co. and acquired an entire new front clip (subframe, bumper, core-support, fenders, hood..........the engine still ran and was otherwise un-damaged except for the clutch fan), but I never got around to restoring it. After ~ 17 yrs I sold it and all the parts I had acquired to a buddy who flipped it to someone else that bought it back to life. Still miss that car.
My current 'Bird is in my sig.

My first and only is a 99 Firebird Trans-Am bought new in Charlotte, North Carolina in Feb of 1999
Started as a weekend car, was daily driven for a while and is back to weekend car. ~168,000 miles total
Makes me want spring time to arrive put away for winter.
Would really like to have a 3rd Gen ~1990 GTA Firebird T/A someday or LS1 FireHawk as well.

Don't have any pictures of my first Firebird and never did. 1974 Esprit bright red with a black interior 350 t400. It had an under hood fire because the previous owner was a hack who screwed up the carb changing the fuel filter. Rewired the top of the engine replaced the carb and drove it for years with no issues.
Current Firebird is a 2000 Trans Am WS6 convertible bright red with a black interior and top. Perfect bookends and my only 4th gen. It's a fun ride and ridiculously faster than the 74 was. There were 7 others between then and now a combination of firebirds's and camaro's all 2nd gen. They were all fun and I wish I still had most of them.

My first and only Trans Am was a white 2000 bought in 2001 as a dealer demo model.
After ten years, I really started to resent the automatic transmission and the doors which open into the next zip code (tight parking). So I bought a 2011 Mustang convertible with every available option (except auto trans of course) and have been quite happy with it although I still have a soft spot for the T/A. I also have a soft spot for the 1971 Mustang Boss 351 I had when I was much younger even though it only got 5mpg, had a vinyl interior, no air conditioning, and couldn't stop or turn a corner to save your life... but it was fun to drive. They were really cheap used cars back in the mid-70s because nobody wanted a gas guzzler with the oil crisis going on.

Sorry, no pictures.
My first Firebird was a basic 1997 v-6 in Bright Green Metallic. Nothing special, not even T tops, but it sure was a pretty color, I got many compliments on it. Traded it in and someone totaled it about two months later. I saw it after and it looked like they tried to turn but the car slid into something.
BGM was traded in on a 2001 also v-6. Navy Blue Metallic like the WS6 I have now. The 2001 had T-tops, chrome wheels, leather, all the good stuff. It also had the 3800 performance package which was P235/55R16 touring tires, up level steering, dual outlet exhaust, Zexel Torsen limited slip rear end with 3.42 gearing. It was a fine car and quick off the line for a v-6 with the gearing.
Then one day about 2005, the wife and I were returning home from a weekend away and I saw my current 2002 WS6 on a private car lot in Longview, Wa. It was a Sunday and I thought no salesmen would be there to bug me so we stopped to take a look. Well there was a salesman there, old guy who used to run the lot was watching it for his son who was away hunting. They were selling it on consignment for some guy and it only had 14k miles on it. The little nubbins were not even worn off the Eagle F-1 tires, I could not tell that it was not a brand new car. Whoever was selling it must have treated it like a queen because the thing showed no signs of use at all. They were asking $19k for it but the sales guy said "he's not going to get that" and knocked a thousand off. And then we went home. All the while I am thinking that this was the car I should have bought in the first place, wife not saying much at all.
The next morning, Monday, I am at work in my office and the phone rings at 9:00, it was the wife. "You are pre-approved at the credit union, stop by at 10 and they will give you a certificate, tell Russ you need the rest of the day off and let's go buy your car!" So we did. At the end of the day after trading in the '01 we drove off in an essentially new WS6 for about 13k. My car payments went down compared to the '01, my insurance went down, the credit union gave me a new car loan for it. Happy days.
Still got the wife and the WS6 now has 143k miles on it, as stated, It is my daily driver. I keep everything working, right now it is time for a headlight motor and a fog light bulb, whenever the weather eases a bit. Need paint, some road frosting from gravel in the winter, daily driving will do that. Unless a deer, elk, or bad driver takes it out it will never be sold, at least while I am still kicking.

My first car ever was a 79 Firebird T-top with the 403 olds. ( Got in 1994) I bought if for 550 dollars off the back of a lot in Missouri. Next day went to the junkyard and got 2 snowflake rims WITH good tires on them AND the passenger side wheel well that was missing for 75 bucks. Put those on, changed the oil, basic maintenance stuff and drove that thing for the next 3 years. From Missouri to Vegas back to Missouri driving the way a teenager will. Never had a problem. 2nd was an 83 Trans am that looked great but had a bad motor, traded to my buddy for his 81 Trans am that was on its 4th engine. That thing was FAST. Sold before I went to college. 2008 bought a 1973 Firebird Formula 400 4 speed with almost every option available. had to sell due to divorce. 4 years ago got a 72 Firebird Formula 350 that I will die with and 2 years ago I got my 02 WS6 6 speed arctic white convertible Trans am.

I don't know how to post pictures, sorry. My first car was a 1994 black v6 Firebird purchased in May of 1999 when I was a senior in high school. She was slow but beautiful.
Traded her in August of 2002 and bought a brand new black Formula thanks to Dad co-signing with me. I still have her with 17,000 miles.
Next I bought a maple red metallic 2001 v6 Firebird convertible and sold it 3 weeks later because i discovered I hated convertibles.
I replaced it with a 1999 light pewter metallic TA that I also still have, which is my main show car and is pretty heavily modified. My current daily driver is a 1998 red v6 Firebird with some minor appearance mods.
. My final car was purchased last July. It's a 2001 black Formula that does need a paint job, but I got a great price on it. It's a back up daily driver that I plan on painting GM bright purple metallic this spring, assuming I have the money.
23 years of owning Firebirds, and still in love.

NC01TA, did you buy your Bird at Liberty Pontiac that used to be just outside of Charlotte? Just being nosey.
Mine came from Dick Keffer Pontiac, that used to be on Tyvola in Charlotte, NC. Keffer was hilarious, they had ~24 to 26 birds at any time typically 8 white, 8 red & 9 black also automatics and one black M6 in the show room which ended being my car. Later they'd order FireHawk's same way six at a time 2 black, 2 red 2 white - screw all the other colors..lol

Familiar with Morrison Motor Co, they often had an excellent inventory of cool cars to check out. I recall checking MM several times over the years.

My first Firebird, which was also my first car, was a '69 Firebird 350. I had it when I was in High School. It was gold when I bought it, but I repainted it red. I don't have any pictures of it online, but here's one that looks similar...
My second Firebird was a '72 Trans Am I had in college and for a while after.
And my current firebird is my 2000 TA I bought back in 2008. 165000 miles and still going strong.
