Default caught someone breaking into my WS6

Ok today as i was getting ready to leave my two way alarm pager was buzzing like crazy, i looked at it and it showed that someone had broken the rear hatch glass, so i ran outside and saw someone in my car. I walked up quietly, opened the door and asked the guy wtf does he think he is doing. He tried to tell me that it was his trans am . He was trying to steal the car from the way he was messing with the steering column so i then proceded to beat the **** out of him . So after some bloody knuckles and my boss calling the cops on him for me. My car got towed for having the nitrous connected and the guy pressed charges on me so i was in jail for one big hour before my fiance came and bailed me out. what was funny is that after he recieved medical attantion he got put in the same cell as me . I must say i dint know i could **** someone up this bad. Well a total of 3000 and i got my t/a back and im out of jail.

ouch man, glad to hear you caught the guy in the act and made him pay! I had mine broken into a few years back, they stole a CD suitcase with about 40 in it, a few things from my console, and that's it. Oh and broke the driver side window track so the glass wouldn't work! And my Nova was sitting right next to it, but I guess the Firebird is easier to break into according to the cops I spoke with (one owns a camaro). Good luck with getting everything back in order!

So... a guy breaks into your car and tries to steal it... you give him LESS than what he deserves... and he has the ******* nerve to press charges!?!?!?!??! Jesus Christ our system is so ******* fucked up. Seriously, reading your story and how you got put in jail and had to be bailed out just pisses me off to no end. Makes me realize how stupid our authorities are. I'd say they're no better than the dipshit who broke into your car.

It turned from protecting to assult when he kept beating the dude. You can only fight until there the threat is gone any more and it becomes a grey area

As a professional self-defense instructor, I can say that we have some very messed up laws when it comes to defending yourself and/or your property. However, it IS correct that it is considered "assault" once you are no longer in danger, yet you keep fighting.

Makes me seriously long for the days of the "old west," where trying to steal a horse was punishable by HANGING. To steal someone's car in the modern world is no different than stealing someone's horse back then. I say you got screwed, and he got off easy.

Oh, and you or your insurance company ARE pressing charges on him for vandalism and recouping the cost of the damage to your hatch, RIGHT???!!!???

That's messed up they put you in jail. Who knows if you did not keep beating his ***, he might have had a weapon of sort. So you did the right thing to keep beating until he was done. Good luck with the car and the court stuff.

Why did they tow your car? and what kind of small town do you live in that put you 2 in the same cell?

Glad they didn't get the car, and hope you can ream them to get your car fixed right.

I just don't understand how they can tow your car, when it was parked? OR is that illegial in VA too (guessing its VA as they're strict with n20)

That idiot definitley deserved the beating (and more so) that you gave him. It's amazing how the criminal is protected more then the victum.

Anyways, hope you get your car back together soon and this incident doesn't cause you more hassle then it already has.

Peace

I hate thieves. They should be fair game. An owner should be able to stomp on there throat and kill them if they want to. Our society has became way to p.c. and timid when it comes to thwarting and punishing crime.
