Insurance for a stored 00-02 WS6?
Hey everyone, I'm planning on getting a 00-02 WS6 next spring/summer. I live in MI, so I wouldn't be driving the car in the snow. But my problem is, I will have to take out a loan for the car, so with me being 19 with a clean record, I'm still going to be raped for insurance. I don't mind paying for it when I'm driving the car, but I heard that I will probably have to keep some type of full coverage when it goes into storage, which will be about $3000-3500 for six months. Do you know any insurance coverage that will allow me to keep insurance on the car, but just enough to please the bank? Something like Grundy? Or will I have to just talk to the bank about it and see what they say?

I'd ask your insurance agent what the rates would be if it's stored and NOT DRIVEN. Make it clear that the car will NOT BE DRIVEN for the period of time and make sure you don't drive it during that time.
Good luck!

Well I am 21 and I pay $95.00 a month full coverage on the SS during the Summer, thats with a $500 deductable and it listed as a weekend driver. And for the winter months I pay $30.00 a month for storage with a $0.00 deductable. And yes I have a loan out on the car.

I pay $17 a month for comprehensive insurance, that covers theft, fire, ect... I have to take my plate into the credit union so they know I'm not driving it, like I could drive a lowerer TA in the snow if I wanted to.
anyway good luck.
