What does everyone think of 30th Ann. T/As???
I’m wondering what those of you that may have owned or do own them (or just happen to know) think of the quality of the package? Meaning, how are the factory stripes holding up? How’s the factory white leather holding up?
And what do you think is a fair price range for one that is in mint condition with low miles and totally stock?
Any input is welcome

Re: What does everyone think of 30th Ann. T/As???
LOL! That's kinda what I figured. All the 30th '97 Z28/SSs that I've seen with white leather have looked pretty rough and dirty too even if the rest of the car was basically mint. Why'd they have to use white? They could have used black instead of the dark gray if they wanted it to look different....

I think it was the best T/A ever made, besides the firehawk....
The 30th was defiently a NICE car....
Perfect color scheme...
I rarely see one up for sale...

There is actually one for sale about 15 miles from me. Low miles, excellent condition. Problem is, it's an M6 which I have no interest in.
But you are right Brian...the last A4 one I saw for sale around here besides Brad's was back about two years ago at JK Pontiac in Naperville.

Well, it might not be the "best" but the TTA is technically the fastest TA (not very far from an LS1 TA)

I had an opportunity to buy one. I would've bought it if not for the white interior. If they did a BLUE interior with white trim, then I would've definitely bought it.
The original T/A in '69 was the same color scheme, so I understand why they did it.
I still have a 30th anniversary car, just not the 30th anniversary special edition version.

I guess different strokes for different folks....blue wheels? Come on now. WTF was GM thinking? I'd have to buy a pimp hat and a big fur coat to drive one of those things.

Great car, but the white leather is worse than **** had mine replaced under warranty, lame-*** coating peeled like bad sunburn. Wheels (love em or hate em)are often uneven and splothcy, but I love it, and it turns heads everywhere!! BOS, they're for sale every minute, eveyday, everywhere! Check www.traderonline.com There ALWAYS there, and sometimes for $20k or less. RPM, go to our site, www.30th-ta.org and ask around.

I'm not that keen on the blue wheels myself. I think that they should've done the car in blue with white stripes and white rims. I've always been partial to blue and green cars though.
I'm actually not keen on stripes at all on a car, but realize that GM likes to put stripes on their special edition cars, so the owners feel special for spending thousands more!

Re: What does everyone think of 30th Ann. T/As???
I know a guy that owns one in Everett,Wa.He purchased it new.I think it looks very nice.I liked the blue on the wheels and the interior on this one is beautiful. The white interior still looks like new. This car has 15,000 miles on it,the guy keeps it garaged. It is an A4.
The only thing is....many guys have told him it looks like a girls car.

Re: What does everyone think of 30th Ann. T/As???
Wow!! Some good replies here. I was afriad that the white leather would be an issue, and I do beleive that I've heard from others that the blue on the wheels tends to be not the best...I'd probably opt for some regular high polished WS6 17X9s for regular use. 30th TA thanks for the links, I'll check them out
That pic above is the first pic I've ever seen from the rear. I've only seen one or two of these cars in person and I never noticed before that the WS6 badge is blue...was that stock?

RPM, what do you intend to do with the car? Do you want it cuz it's purty Do you want it cuz it's rare?
If it's the first, just get one. They are ALL over. I personally have wanted to get a cheap set of charoal seat for everyday driving, and save the white for shows, and later down the road. I also think some y2k Vette rims would look sweet powdercoated white, or with a blue clearcoat like the originals.
If you want collectability, check out our site, do your homework, and make sure you get everything you are supposed to...trophy mat, car # specific owners book, etc.
BTW, the Blue WS6 badge...factory, exclusive to teh 30th, and expen$ive as $hit to replace! also hope you never have to replaced the numbered plaque on the console. Good luck in the search, and keep us posted. There are a ton of them in FL, and of all places, Ohio!

30th TA, thanks a lot for your help, those links are great. Being that this is the off season here in IL I'm not planning to do any buying/selling of anything till the nicer weather hits. I just have a lot of free time right now to explore ideas and gather info & opinions, so that's pretty much what I'm doing If there is anything else you'd like to make me aware of, please feel free. Guess I wasn't looking in the right places..
Still one of my favorite cars....I've heard from many owners that the leather is indeed a problem, the wheels are great, very attractive looking car...
