engine swap

i wanted to do the same i have the same car but i wanted a corvett engine or sumtin they told me that it would be faster than actually just adding turbo and stuff :S
For the money and crap involved you'd come out much better buying a car with the LS1 already. Probably come out cheaper too.
There is a guy around here who has ruined
his V6 Firebird, and his loud exhaust makes his car sound like a tractor witha weezing problem...

You could have been in the ball park to buy a used Z28 for not too much more and imagine the headache you saved yourself.

OR get a drivetrain and one of those "painless wiring" kits they talk about for around $300-500. I've swapped v6 to v8's in many 3rd gens. I am about to drop the drivetrain out of a totalled 99 T/A to go into my 00 T/A by doing the "cradle drop" method.
