Question Need proof for 98-02 WS6's

I have a bet with a guy that says the WS6 formulas came from the St. Therese plant with the WS6 hood and all. I am pretty sure that the conversion for all 98-02 WS6 cars were done at ASC. Where can I get proof of where the WS6 cars were done? Thanks

The November 2001 issue of High Performance Pontiac Magazine will back you up completely. There's an article on the Ste. Therese F-Body Plant that also explains how ASC handled the WS6 production.

Exactly right. The November 2001 HPP issue has an article called "Inside the Bird's Nest" and there is an insert about the ASC Lachine plant. Not only will it give you proof, but it also provides a bit of history about your WS.6.
To order a back issue, go to:
http://www.highperformancepontiac.com/contactus/

Another option would be to call ASC (American Specialty Cars):
http://www.ascglobal.com/
Talk with someone who can give you the conversion number on your specific WS.6. I did this back in 2002 after buying mine and talked with the WS.6 Product Manager (he asked me not to post his name in a forum such as this and I will respect that request). He was more than happy to chat with me, even about the Buick Grand National, on which ASC also did the conversion (American Sunroof Corporation at that time). Email me if you need more info.

I would say if your freind can't do the research himself on the net, then he's not very savvy in the first place.

Thanks for the help. I already have my ASC number for my car (838). He just doesn't believe that the cars were shipped to ASC for the conversion. He thinks they were built fully at the St. Therese plant.

They were actually finished off by ASC at their facility that was about 20 minutes away from the Ste. Therese plant (if I remember correctly). The cars were shipped to ASC with the base T/A hood and WS6 wheels installed. The Ram Air hoods were painted with the cars at GM, but were shipped separately to ASC for assembly. Once ASC was done with the conversion, the cars were sent back to the Ste. Therese plant for shipment to the dealerships.

You are the man. It is saying you have exceeded your data transfer limit. I will try it out when I get home from work at 2:00 am. If that doesn't work could email them to me? jasonp77@***.net
