Cracked interior door panel...:( *DON'T QUOTE PICS!

Damn. That's the worst one I've seen yet.
Someone earlier mentioned a class action lawsuit. I don't know about that. Putz rather apparently hates Pontiac and is intent on killing it. A lawsuit might help hasten that.
However, if this can be part of a recall, preferably without a lawsuit, or as the award for such a lawsuit, I'd be all behind that. If this is a design flaw, we should not be expected to live with or pay for it.

Only 1 out of the 4 93-02 Trans Ams my family has owned has NOT had this crack appear.
2000 WS6 - ebony interior (mine) both sides cracked about 1/2 inch.
1999 TA - charcoal (brother's) driver's side is cracked about 1/2 inch.
1994 TA - charcoal (my ex) passenger side was cracked about an inch.
1994 TA GT - Tan (Mother's) no cracks.
Just plain old sucks what can you say.

Mine did the same thing. I bought it with 22000 miles on it and I didn't notice it until about 25000. I thought it was from slamming the door but then I noticed it on the passenger side too and I don't usually have any passengers.

Interesting find. I don't quite follow him though. He says that he's allowing the panel to flex, but I don't get that because flexing is what causes the cracks.
And I also don't quite follow his description of the missing sections either. His after shot still shows the crack very visibly too.
I really *hate* taking door panels off. lol I guess I should look into this, or something of my own, on my good panel while I still can.
What happened to racer88? This should be a recall and she seemed to have the means/knowledge to get that process going.

I honestly don't know the avenue to take with this, whether it be GM or the BBB. I fought once to get my 2000 lemon lawed and won. That took time and energy that I don't have at this time for these door panels. I will check at the Dealer and see if by chance they'd be willing to get this looked at. My Dealer has been pretty cool with me all along in and out of warranty.
I would say that first off we need to get ahold of someone with Legal counsel advice on how to pursue something as a class action suit with the large number of cars with the same defect.
I guess what we need to do is get a VIN list going of all the cars who have posted on here as a start

we need to try to do something because i just got my car a week ago and it was perfect and then this happens and then my dumbass broke off the seat belt guide on the headrest (but thats only 20 bucks). but this is the first nice car ive ever bought and i dont want it to get all tore up because im actualy proud of this (unlike my mustang) and i dont want it to go hell.
