The t-bar section of the roof (and also on hard-top models) are an integral part of the structure. It would seriously weaken the integrity of your chassis if you cut out the bar.

Convertables have a ton of pig iron welded to the bottom of the car in an attempt to compensate for the lack of the t-bar.

That may have been Whistler, who lives in the Orlando area. He had a Camaro a few years ago which had the targa roof, 20" wheels, and a custom paint job - I think the paint was Ferrari titanium something-or-other. The engine and drivetrain was sold a couple of years ago and I don't know what happened to the rest of the car. It was sitting in his driveway for a LONG time.

Would it make a diffrence if you got SFC and some other mods to help the chasis or would it not matter at all and can anyone find a insturction im leaning just to convert it to a t-top since im guessing the targa would be 1000+ where the t-top is only about 400 for everything if you do it yourself which i hear isnt hard

SFC'S and a rollbar might help a little...that's if you even want a rollbar in your car.

The 'Vette is built with the targa top in mind. The f-body wasn't hatched that way. Simple matter of design.
