Nice 'bird! Welcome to LS1tech!

If you plan on doing any engine mods, you might want to check out this site: http://www.fullthrottlev6.com/forums/

Good price on the car too. What's the mileage on it if you don't mind me asking?

No its not a formula, its only a v6 auto but oh man does it sound like a v8.
Its got a K&N cold air filter/intake, a brand new engine due to a dealer messup, and the upgraded exhaust.

Only 83k miles on it too, Ive drivin it so much in the passed week tho its like 84k now :O

Oh yea haha, those pics are from the day after prom.. i got it fully waxed before it.. jeez did it look awesome..

Who needs a limo when you have a FB like this..
I know I got a ton of looks when I tossed the keys to the vallet guy ^_^

I also just spend over 50+ on all meguiars paint cleaner/wax/polish and all the neccessary eqpmt to make it look even better.

Soon Ill be getting it tinted, a raptor hood (if $ permits), and thinkin about getting a T/A hatch, although I dont know how much thatd cost.

I know ill be coming here for any advice on future mods though!

This has been discussed before....it's too much work to convert a V6 fourth-gen to a V8. It's easier to just buy the V8 if that's what you really want. Since our friend here is still in high school, that V6 will help him out in many ways....insurance & gas (especially since it won't need premium) are two biggies. Later down the road the V8 car can be purchased (and possibly keep the V6 car as the DD).

Most everyone here knows how I feel about swapping hoods. Keep the base model hood.

ahh, just make it carbed, i almost bought an originally v6 car that was transformed to carbed v8, and you can have the insurance of a v6.

i guess thats why i waited untill i got a good job, and i bought an 8 cylinder, but to each his own

Looks good, I love the Mecham exhaust tips. I wouldn't put a T/A hatch on a firebird. It looks good as it sits bro.

Heheh Agreed^ with y2k. The 1st car I went to go look at was a 98 v6 FB, he was selling it cause he had an almost brand new 01 v8 T/A in the driveway; and I pretty much barely looked at the 98..

I think v6 will suit me well for now, already showed a few ricers around here how much power its really got ^_^

How about the hatch? It really worth getting a T/A one on it?

you dont need it, i like the sleek look of the v6/formula spoiler better, but thats my opinion, and if you plan to go fast, just save your money, and get a v8 car when you are able to

I'd keep the hatch you have now. The T/A wing just doesn't look right with the Firebird/Formula nose.

ya, but isnt that a w68 firebird (the one with the ground effects)

it would look good because you have the ground effects but its just not my taste making the v6 to try to look like something its not

Nice car mad, pompano beach?? My mom lives down there, Im probably taking a nice long road trip in august or so.

Thats a great site too, I already know of like 4 firebird sites too, theres so many =P

I think one of the reasons this guy sold it was cause of the steering.. sometimes it jolts to one side and I have to hold the wheel with a pretty strong force. Anyone know what it could be? I hear it either needs a wheel alignment OR something with the ball joints being loose --> which costs a lot more than a wheel alignment :<
